The Nettleton School District, one of only three line school districts in the state of Mississippi, is proud to educate the young people of Lee and Monroe Counties. With a student enrollment of approximately 1400, the district is classified 3A. Three of our schools have an accreditation level of 4 and one with an accreditation level of 5. The district employs 100 certified teachers and administrators and a host of paraprofessionals to offer students a sound background in preparation for their next steps in life. OUR MISSION STATEMENT To ensure that all students are prepared to continue their education and to participate in society as responsible citizens. The Nettleton School District boasts eleven National Board Certified teachers. The district offers an extended day and extended year program through a 21st Century Grant Learning Center. This program serves approximately 150 students in grades 1 through 8 with homework help, remediation, and arts enrichment in visual, performing, and technology arts. In addition, each summer a two-week kindergarten camp is held to aid in kindergarten readiness. Though we are proud of what we have accomplished in this school district, we strive continually to improve what we do to better serve the young people of this area. In partnership with parents and the community, we plan to continue to grow and develop leaders for tomorrow. |
